INTERVENTIONAL CARDIOLOGIST
JOINS OHIO VALLEY HEARTCARE

EVANSVILLE, IND. (August 16, 2006) -- Ohio Valley HeartCare (OVHC), a tri-state area cardiology and cardiovascular surgery practice, announced Asim Rehman, M.D., F.A.C.C. joined its cardiology team. A specialist in interventional cardiology, Rehman comes to OVHC from the Medcenter One Health System in Bismarck, North Dakota, where he has been practicing for the past three years.

Rehman is board certified in interventional cardiology, cardiovascular disease and internal medicine, and has clinical expertise in cardiac catheterization, coronary angioplasty and stents, peripheral vascular medicine, and adult echocardiography. A graduate of the Khyber Medical College in Pakistan, he completed a residency and cardiology fellowship at the SUNY, Health Science Center in New York, and an interventional fellowship at the Lahey Medical Center in Massachusetts. Dr. Rehman has also served as a staff cardiologist at two hospitals in Louisiana.
