CARDIOLOGIST JOINS OHIO VALLEY HEARTCARE
EVANSVILLE, IND. (June 19, 2006) - Ohio Valley HeartCare (OVHC), a tri-state area cardiology and cardiovascular surgery practice, today announced Hassan Hamed, M.D., FACC, has joined its cardiology team. Dr. Hamed comes to OVHC from the Medcenter One Hospital in Bismarck, North Dakota. Board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiology, Dr. Hamed has over 11 years of cardiology experience in treating patients in a wide-range of cardiovascular diseases. Dr. Hamed specializes in Cardiac Catheterization, Coronary and Peripheral Interventions, Transesophageal and Stress Echocardiography.

Dr. Hamed received his medical degree from the Higher Medical Institute of Medicine in Sofia, Bulgaria, where he also completed his undergraduate degree. He completed his residency and fellowship training in Internal Medicine and Cardiology at Howard University in Washington, D.C.
